Welcome to the Swamp-Room

Welcome to the Swamp-Room. Here, deep in the bowels of the "Science 2" building, we study the concept of "Coming to Voice." There's no better place to find one's voice than in a swamp. After all,  Kermit the Frog sang his cinematic debut in a swamp... and if you know a better lily-pad-to-riches Coming to Voice story, then perhaps you should be teaching a writing course of your own.

But as I was saying, the sealed windows and general basementy dankness create an environment that is rather ideal for growing thoughts and theses. We assume, of course, that thoughts and theses have the same growth requirements as your average Spanish Moss (or frog Muppet).

As cold weather advances, the heat portion of our swamp room will subside but the humid cave-stank may linger. I'm sure there's a metaphor there about the writing process, but honestly my mind went off on a tangent as I fantasized about a temperature drop.

But I digress. Here we are, entering the Op-Ed section of our class and what better format to opine than the old, trusty blog.

To the right you will find a list of the class blogs. this will come in handy as you look for intriguing ideas to respond to. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to float around and try to find some banjo-playing puppets.
